My passion for photography started one clear evening in remote Western Australia. I saw the night sky and wanted to capture it, it’s that simple. I purchased a bunch of used camera gear, researched the moon phases and downloaded all the apps to set up photographing the stars in our Milky Way. But astrophotography has its limitations, you can only do it at night, so during the day I started to photograph the wildlife. This was a hobby of mine for a few years.

One day a family member got two puppies. I had a camera so I naturally started to photograph them and it’s all been puppos and kittens since then! Wanting to photograph all the animals I fell in with a volunteer group with photographers that donate their time and skills to take adorable profile photos of rescue animals. As I grew using my holistic skill set of photography and pet connection I started to photograph more rescue pets with behavioural issues.

After photographing hundreds of rescue animals I thought I can do this for a living.

What is Pixel Pets?
Specialising in connecting and working WITH animals. As a team, with support and guidance. I have had the pleasure of photographing all personality types. From the energetic bounce of a playful pup to the regal poise of a majestic feline, no creature is too big or too small, too shy or too rambunctious for my lens.

My work is characterised by patience and perseverance. I understand that every pet has their own pace and personality and I'm dedicated to waiting for that perfect moment when their true character shines through.

Pixel Pets extends beyond your pet's portrait. I believe in giving back by volunteering my photography skills to animal rescue groups.
This means continuing to provide my photography skills to help give rescue animals the profile photos they deserve to help them grab the attention of their new humans and find their forever homes and for use in fundraising.
